Symbotic is seeking an on‑site Site Engineer in Bethlehem, PA to lead maintenance of automated material handling systems. You will diagnose PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and related equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

You’ll document findings in Maximo and support on‑the‑floor teams, serving as a technical escalation point and ensuring OSHA and safety standards are followed. Strong hands‑on automation experience is valued.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands‑on experience in electrical/automation fields.
• Minimum 1 year with PLCs (prefer Allen‑Bradley) for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 1 year with VFDs and speed/torque drive issues.
• Minimum 1 year experience with AC/DC motors and automated conveyors/AS/RS equipment.
• Experience with diagnostics using data logs, alarms, and system dashboards.
• Familiarity with CMMS tools and on‑site maintenance collaboration.

Mansioni

• Monitor and maintain health of automated systems including conveyors, lifts, robotics, motors, sensors, and PLC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues to minimize production downtime.
• Diagnose PLCs (Allen‑Bradley), VFDs, motors, sensors, and control hardware issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
• Review system data, alarms, logs, and dashboards to identify faults.
• Document repairs and findings in CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and internal tools.
• Serve as senior escalation point during system disruptions.
• Collaborate with on‑site teams to stabilize performance and uptime.
• Provide guidance to technicians and operators on technical tasks.
• Support critical on‑site functions to maintain operation continuity.
• Ensure OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety, and Symbotic safety standards.
