Job summary

Symbotic LLC is seeking a Site Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. The role focuses on system health, equipment reliability, and technical execution on site.

You will diagnose PLCs (Allen-Bradley), VFDs, and motors; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; document findings in Maximo; and coordinate with on-site teams to sustain uptime and safety.

Qualifications

• > BS/BA or higher in Electrical Eng, CS, SE, Automation Eng, or equivalent hands-on exp.
• "> At least 1 year PLC experience (prefer Allen-Bradley) for diagnostics.
• "> At least 1 year with VFDs; diagnose speed, torque, drive issues.
• "> Experience with AC/DC motors; automated systems incl. conveyors, AS/RS, robotics; SQL/Python/Linux for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• > Monitor and maintain health of automated systems (conveyors, lifts, robots, motors, sensors).
• "> Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation issues impacting production.
• "> Use CMMS (Maximo) to document repairs and findings; escalate as needed.
• "> Provide technical guidance to maintenance techs; support uptime during downtime events.
• "> Ensure OSHA, LOTO, electrical safety compliance and safe operations.
