Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a Site Engineer to support the reliability, availability, and performance of its automated warehouse systems in a live production environment. This hands-on, on-site role focuses on system health, troubleshooting, and maintenance rather than commissioning or programming.

You will monitor conveyors, lifts, robotics, and motors; diagnose PLCs (Allen-Bradley), VFDs, and sensors; perform preventive and corrective maintenance, document findings in Maximo, and escalate as needed to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automation or equivalent hands-on experience.
1+ year with PLCs (prefer Allen-Bradley) for diagnostics.
1+ year with VFDs and motor controls.
Experience with automated systems such as conveyors, lifts, robotics.
Knowledge of SQL, Python and Linux for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the health of automated systems (conveyors, lifts, robotics).
Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors and control hardware.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
Document repairs and findings using CMMS (Maximo).
Escalate as senior technical point during downtime events.
Collaborate with on-site teams to restore performance.
Provide on-the-job guidance to technicians and operators.
Ensure OSHA, LOTO and electrical safety compliance.
