Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Armstrong County seeks a Roadway Programs Technician 1 to assist with planning and tracking roadway maintenance. You will help ensure safe, efficient transportation operations and support crews with accurate data and documentation.

Responsibilities include reviewing work plans, monitoring SAP data, overseeing inventory, and coordinating with vendors. Telework is not available; full-time, 8–4 schedule; starting salary is $41,506 with growth based on tenure.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Technical Assistant or one year of experience in analysis of data used in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment.
• An Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or related field.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Work Plan Review: analyze plans to confirm labor, materials, equipment and funding align with needs.
• Data Monitoring: review SAP data to track production units, hours, materials and equipment use.
• Inventory Oversight: support material purchasing, storage, issuing and record keeping.
• Field Observation: monitor maintenance activities and gather information to develop work standards.
• Damage Assessment: inspect guiderail or roadway damage and coordinate repairs.
