Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Roadway Maintenance Technicians to support highway safety and operations. The role involves outdoor work, operating equipment, and direct contribution to public safety on active roadways.

Typical duties include debris removal, installing safety devices, pothole repair, drainage maintenance, and on-call emergency response. Strong safety adherence and MOT knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to work safely in high-traffic environments.
• Willingness to work outside year-round and on-call when needed.
• Pass pre-employment background screening and MVR review.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway maintenance and respond to emergencies on active highways.
• Install, repair, and replace guardrails, signs, and safety devices.
• Repair potholes and pavement using asphalt and concrete.
• Mow and manage vegetation along highway rights-of-way.
• Set up traffic control and protect work zones.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and rollers.
