Job summary

The New Mexico Department of Transportation seeks an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker to help maintain US and New Mexico highways, perform light to medium equipment operations, and support safety on the traveling public.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license and a Class B CDL within one year of hire, some experience with fencing and road maintenance, and the ability to pass a demonstrate abilities test with 65% or better; the job is safety sensitive and requires pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and a valid Class B CDL within one (1) year of hire.
• Some experience repairing fencing and road maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain US and New Mexico highways.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of light to medium equipment.
• Move forward to interview panel after demonstrative abilities test.
