Job summary

New Mexico Department of Transportation seeks an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker (DOT/D4 #20078) to maintain interstates, roads and highways for public safety. You will operate light to medium duty equipment and support traffic control operations in the field.

Ideal candidates have roadway maintenance experience (fence/patching), a valid driver’s license and a Class B CDL within six months, and are prepared for variable weather and extended hours in a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadway maintenance (fence repair, patching, etc.).
• Knowledge of traffic control operations (flagging, setup/removal).
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks and rollers.

• Maintain interstates, roads, roadways, and highways for public safety.
• Perform traffic control operations as needed in the field.
