Job summary

New Mexico Department of Justice seeks an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker to operate light to medium duty equipment, perform road and bridge maintenance, and complete operator-level preventive maintenance. The role requires a valid license and the ability to use a computer and hand tools in field conditions.

Experience with dump trucks, loaders, rollers, broom and other equipment is preferred. A Class B CDL is a plus; safe work practices and willingness to work in varied weather are

Qualifications

• Experience operating light to medium duty equipment (dump truck, loader, roller, broom).
• Ability to repair and maintain roadways, bridges, guardrail and fences.
• Ability to perform operator level preventive maintenance checks and services.
• Ability to utilize a computer.
• Ability to use hand tools to service equipment, buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to medium duty equipment to repair and maintain roads and bridges.
