Job summary

New Mexico Department of Transportation is seeking an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker to maintain interstates and roadways for public safety. The role uses light to medium duty equipment and requires vigilance in traffic control and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have experience in roadway maintenance, sign and fence repairs, patching, and operating trucks and rollers. A valid driver's license and a NM Class B CDL within six months of hire are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have or obtain a New Mexico Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of hire.
• Safety sensitive position with drug and alcohol testing requirements.
