Job summary

New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) seeks an Associate Highway Maintenance Worker for the Trementina Patrol to maintain interstates, roads and highways for public safety.

Ideal candidates will perform roadway maintenance, traffic control, and operate equipment such as a 5-yard dump truck, roller, and tractor with mower attachment. A valid driver's license and Class B CDL are required within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadway maintenance activities such as fence repair, sign repair, and patching.
• Traffic control operations including flagging and setup/removal.
• Operate a 5-yard dump truck, roller, and tractor with mower attachment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interstates, roads, roadways, and highways for the safety of the traveling public.
• Use light to medium duty equipment to perform maintenance tasks on roadways.
• Perform traffic control and flagging as needed to ensure road safety.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.
