Qualifications

• 5 years experience in roadway maintenance (full-time or prorated part-time equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
• Must have a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or obtain one within 120 calendar days from date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Leads a crew of maintenance technicians and equipment operators; assigns daily work and supervises safety-compliant execution.
• Responds to emergencies and weather events; coordinates sand, signs, and crew response.
• Oversees maintenance inspections and the work of contractors; maintains records of materials and time sheets.
• Trains crew members on equipment use and safety; schedules daily work and approves leave requests to ensure coverage.
