• 5 years experience in roadway maintenance related work (full-time or prorated part-time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Leads a crew of transportation maintenance technicians and equipment operators, coordinating daily work assignments.
• Responds to emergency notifications and participates in sand/road-bridges operations during weather or incident events.
• Estimates and gathers materials and equipment for assignments.
• Inspects roads en route and reports problems to supervisors; maintains records on materials and time sheets.
• Monitors materials testing and inventory; operates light and heavy equipment.
• Trains crew members on equipment use and provides input on career development; approves leave when needed.
