Qualifications

• 5 years experience in roadway maintenance related work. Substitutions possible for education/technical training.
• Must have a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist during accidents and emergency weather to sand bridges and roads and place warning signs.
• Estimate and gather materials and equipment needed for assignments.
• Inspect roads en route to job site and report problems.
• Maintain records on materials, equipment, and employee time sheets.
• Monitor materials testing and inventory of roadway maintenance materials.
• Operate light and heavy equipment.
• Oversee contract workers and coordinate activities.
• Lead, schedule, and mentor crew; provide updates to supervisor and input on career development.
