Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, through PennDOT, is seeking a CDL Operator to support highway and bridge maintenance in Erie County. You will operate trucks and other equipment, perform daily checks, and assist with safety-focused tasks in a collaborative crew environment.

The position emphasizes hands-on work, adherence to CDL and safety requirements, and potential overtime or travel as needed. A valid CDL with required endorsements is essential.

Qualificações

• Teamwork and safety awareness are essential for field crews.
• CDL (Class A or B) with Air Brake and Manual Transmission restrictions removed is required.
• Medical Examiner's Certificate is required per FMCSA regulations.
• Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) is required during the probationary period and kept while employed.
• Certification issued by the PennsylvaniaDOT for operation of heavy trucks and loaders is required within probation.
• Additional certifications from PennDOT may be required on assigned equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate trucks, loaders and other machinery for roadway and bridge maintenance.
• Maintain CDL requirements and perform daily equipment checks.
• Perform flagging duties to support safe traffic flow when equipment is not operating.
• Carry out manual roadway tasks like clearing culverts and erecting signs.
• Make minor equipment adjustments and assist mechanics; train others on equipment use.
• Follow safety procedures and report injuries or hazards.
