Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Roadway Engineer I for our Savannah, Georgia office to support major regional transportation infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with senior engineers and use Civil3D, Geopak or OpenRoads to produce designs and calculations for roadway projects.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least 3 years of related experience, with EIT preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential, and the position sits in our Critical Infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience on road and highway projects.
• EIT certificate preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation Geopak and/or OpenRoads.
• Ability to communicate effectively within a design team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers on roadway design assignments.
• Use software to develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Perform design calculations including quantity takeoffs and costs.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, plans and specs.
• Prepare requisitions for materials, services and subcontracts.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.
