Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join our Roadway team in Savannah, Georgia. The role emphasizes developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, drainage, signing and striping plans using CAD software.

You will produce technical drawings, perform quality checks, and help maintain our drawing database while coordinating with colleagues to meet project schedules and Kimley-Horn standards.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and professional.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with CAD workflows is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and preliminary/final roadway design using CAD.
• Create geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections and drainage plans.
• Produce technical drawings and quality-check plans of substantial complexity.
• Coordinate with team to maintain schedules and ensure quality.
• Maintain drawing database and apply Kimley-Horn standards.
• Possibly supervise and train CAD staff.
• Assist in design changes and project coordination.
