Job summary

Genuine Search Group is seeking a civil engineer to join our multidisciplinary land development team in Murfreesboro, TN. You will design roadway geometry, prepare plan/profile sheets, and coordinate with utilities, drainage, and site layout.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, 2+ years of roadway or site civil design, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. EIT is required or the ability to obtain; a PE is preferred for senior roles, and strong communication is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of roadway or site civil design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required); experience with transportation design tools preferred.
• Knowledge of roadway design standards, grading, drainage, and stormwater systems.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• EIT required or ability to obtain; PE preferred for senior-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop roadway geometry, alignments, profiles, and cross sections for land development and infrastructure projects
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical documents including plan/profile sheets and roadway details
• Perform grading, drainage, and stormwater design in support of roadway and site development projects
• Coordinate roadway design with utilities, drainage systems, and overall site layout
• Conduct quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and support project budgeting efforts
• Assist with permitting, regulatory approvals, and agency coordination
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including survey, planning, and landscape architecture
• Support QA/QC processes and ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulations
• Participate in field visits, inspections, and construction support as needed
