Job summary

Consor in Atlanta, GA, seeks a roadway engineering designer to support transportation improvement projects with design and detailing of local, county, and state roadway projects. You’ll assist with geometric analyses and calculations using established design criteria and standard software, reporting to the project manager.

The role is hybrid, combining office and field work. A BS in Civil Engineering and an EIT certification are required, with physical duties including occasional lifting up to

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• EIT certification required.
• Hybrid office/field environment.
• Physical demands include sitting, standing and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
