Job summary

CDM Smith’s New England Transportation team is seeking a Task Leader for highway design projects in the New England region. This position can be based in either our Boston, MA, East Hartford, CT, or Manchester, NH offices.

You’ll play a pivotal role in advancing technical excellence, mentoring junior staff, and delivering innovative solutions for complex transportation challenges. Key responsibilities include coordinating project design, providing day-to-day oversight, and ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate technical advancement of highway design projects and ensure deliverables are accurate.
Provide day-to-day oversight of transportation planning and design projects.
Supervise, review, and mentor junior engineers and staff.
Develop design criteria, alignments, construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with Project Leaders and Managers to deliver high-complexity projects.
