Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Task Leader for highway design projects in the New England region with offices in Boston, MA, East Hartford, CT, or Manchester, NH. You will lead design development, mentor staff, and ensure technical accuracy across the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate criteria, alignments, and cost estimates while collaborating with Project Leaders and Project Managers to deliver high-quality transportation solutions while complying with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and PE license required.
• 10 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Domestic/international travel may be required depending on duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the technical advancement of highway design projects and ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee transportation planning and design projects with milestones and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and growth opportunities.
• Develop design criteria, alignments, construction plans, specs and cost estimates.
