Job summary

Consor in Rancho Cordova, California, is seeking a roadway engineering designer to support transportation improvement projects. You’ll assist with geometric analyses and the design of typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts and cross-sections, reporting to the project manager.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, EIT preferred, and a hybrid work arrangement between office and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification preferred
• Hybrid work environment between office and field; may require exposure to outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
