Job summary

Consor is seeking a roadway engineering designer to support transportation improvement projects, including geometric analyses and design calculations, using established criteria and standard software. The designer reports to the project manager.

The role blends office and field work in a hybrid setting, with exposure to inclement weather and physical demands; a B.S. in Civil Engineering and EIT certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
