Job summary

Consor is seeking a roadway engineering designer in California to support transportation improvement projects through the design and detailing of roadway elements. The role involves geometric analyses, design calculations, and collaboration with the project team in a hybrid office/field environment.

You will prepare typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and related documents while ensuring compliance with codes and engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Hybrid work environment—office and field exposure.
• Physical demands include sitting, standing, and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design docs, plans, and reports for specific tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
