Job summary

Consor is seeking a roadway engineering designer in California to support transportation improvement projects with design and detailing of local, county, and state roadways. You’ll perform geometric analyses, assist with design documentation, and ensure compliance with codes while reporting to the project manager.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement between office and field environments with salary in the $70,000–$100,000 range, and requires a BS in Civil Engineering; EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• EIT Certification preferred
• Hybrid job operating between office and field environments.
• Lamiliar with standard office equipment and potential exposure to inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing typical sections, alignments, profiles, layouts, and cross-sections.
• Support design team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for tasks and quantity calculations.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and engineering practices.
• Perform engineering calculations and estimates.
• Collect and process data for topographic surveys and right-of-way engineering for use in design analysis.
