Job summary

Texas Materials is seeking a dedicated laborer to support our crews on road and site construction projects. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance in a physically demanding environment.

As part of a CRH company, you will assist in traffic control, equipment operation, and material handling while following all safety policies and job-specific procedures. Training and PPE are provided, with opportunities for growth within a large infrastructure organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Previous related experience in construction field is preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen, physical and criminal background check.
• Must wear PPE and follow OSHA/MSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Follow OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe procedures and environment.
• Assist crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and wheelbarrow operations.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and perform routine maintenance/inspections.
• Maintain traffic controls in work zones and direct movement of traffic as directed.
• Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
