Texas Materials, a CRH company, is a leading supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, and paving and construction services in Texas. The Construction Laborer position supports multiple tasks on site, emphasizing safety and teamwork on paving projects.

You may perform shoveling, material handling, and traffic control under supervision, with opportunities to grow within our safety‑driven culture. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and construction experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous related experience in the construction field.
• Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment following safety policies and procedures.
• Assist construction/paving crew with duties such as shoveling, raking, and loading trucks.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to align and move materials.
• Follow Foreman guidance on daily tasks and expectations.
• May operate small power tools when required.
• Dig, spread, and level construction materials.
• Lift and carry materials, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with placement, movement and dismantling of traffic controls.
