Job summary

CTL Engineering Inc. is seeking Inspectors/Technicians for construction inspection services on NCDOT projects in the Wilmington, NC area. The role involves field and laboratory testing, reporting, and collaboration with engineers to ensure quality and safety on roadway and bridge projects.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of DOT inspection experience, familiarity with highway specs, and certifications such as ACI Grade I or NICET Level II. Travel in the Southeast region is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction inspection and testing experience on DOT projects.
• Familiarity with highway construction specifications and field testing methods.
• Experience with earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction.
• Ability to produce clear field reports and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection services for earthwork, concrete, asphalt and utilities.
• Conduct field testing and report on construction progress and quality.
• Inspect materials, verify quantities and document observations.
• Assist engineers in field investigations and prepare project records.
