Job summary

CTL Engineering, Inc. is hiring Inspectors/Technicians for construction inspection services on NCDOT projects. The role blends field and laboratory work with office tasks, supporting quality control and testing across roadway, bridge, and utility projects in central NC.

Frequent travel within the region is possible. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of inspection/testing experience, familiarity with highway specs, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience performing construction inspection and testing on NCDOT projects.
• Knowledge of earthwork, concrete, asphalt and utility construction inspection.
• Ability to prepare and maintain project records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction engineering technician inspection services for earthwork, concrete, asphalt and utility construction for NCDOT and clients.
• Conduct field testing of soils, concrete and asphalt and report findings.
• Inspect and sample construction materials and verify plan quantities and calculations.
• Assist Engineers in the field during soil and materials investigations.
• Ensure quality control and QA verifications per project specs and contracts.
