Kimley-Horn's Jacksonville, Florida office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Roadway team. This full-time position is on-site in Jacksonville, FL, and not remote.

You will collaborate with the design team to develop roadway designs, assist in feasibility studies, estimates, and specifications, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role emphasizes teamwork, progress monitoring, and delivering practical, safe transportation

Formación

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with collaboration within a team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop detailed roadway designs with the design team per regulations and standards.
• Prepare project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Select materials and prepare specifications for road construction and maintenance.
• Create alignment and geometric designs for roads and intersections with safety in mind.
• Obtain permits from authorities for roadway projects and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical support during construction and review plans for issues.
