Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Melbourne, Florida office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of roadway design experience to join the Roadway team. This on-site role focuses on producing detailed roadway designs, material specs, and comprehensive project documentation.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers, develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. A P.E. license or progression toward licensure is expected within 12 months.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience in roadway projects.
• P.E. license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop roadway designs complying with regulations and project specs.
• Assist in development of project plans, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Create alignment and geometric designs for roads and intersections.
• Obtain permits and approvals from authorities for roadway projects.
• Provide technical support during construction and review plans for issues.
