Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA. You will assist senior inspectors, review plans, and ensure compliance with quality standards on roadway and bridge projects, while supporting safety protocols.

The role requires a civil engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong interpretation of drawings, and field inspection skills; night/weekend work may be required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with 2 years roadway inspection experience.
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or Tech with 5 years roadway inspection experience.
• High school diploma with 7 years roadway inspection experience, or equivalent.
• Obtain required certifications and pass tests within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection.
• Review and interpret plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for quality and specs compliance.
• Conduct field audits of ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage for conformance.
• Observe materials testing verification (soils, asphalt, concrete).
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices on all construction activities.
