Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector in Atlanta, GA to assist senior inspectors in overseeing roadway and bridge construction projects.

You will review plans, monitor quality, and document findings while supporting safety and compliance across site activities. The role requires civil engineering education with progressive inspection experience and GDOT/related certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field with 2 years inspection exp.
• Associate degree with 5 years inspection exp in roadway/bridge work.
• HS diploma with 7 years roadway/bridge inspection exp for a state agency or OVF.
• Obtain required certifications and pass tests within ~6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Inspectors in construction oversight and inspection duties.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specs, and shop drawings.
• Monitor activities for compliance with quality standards and specs.
• Conduct field audits of developer and ICQA processes.
• Inspect roadways, structures, and drainage systems as required.
• Observe and support materials sampling and testing verification.
• Attend pre-activity meetings with contractors and quality teams.
• Document findings and prepare electronic reports.
• Uphold safety practices in all construction activities.
