Job summary

AAA Oregon/Idaho is seeking a Roadside Tow Technician to operate a AAA-owned service truck in the Portland metro area, responding to roadside requests from members. You will deliver tire changes, fuel, and battery service with a focus on safety and professionalism.

Requirements include 2+ years driving and customer service, valid license with clean record (CDL not required), and ability to lift up to 75 pounds. DOT medical card must be obtained after starting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving and customer service experience preferred – We Train!
• Valid drivers' license required with an excellent driving record. Position does not require a CDL, however previous towing experience is a plus!
• Successful completion of a criminal background screening, DMV background screening, employment verification, and pre-employment drug screen (including cannabis) required.
• Tow Technicians must be 21 years or older and are required to obtain a DOT Medical card certification after starting employment.
• Able to balance, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and desire to help others
• Ability to problem solve and stay positive and calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests from AAA members in the Portland metro area.
• Perform tire changes, fuel delivery, battery service, or minor mechanical repairs.
• Create a safe environment for yourself, teammates, and members while completing service calls.
