Job summary

The Auto Club Group in New Berlin, WI is hiring a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist stranded motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and tow vehicles as needed. You will work on the road, maintain a clean vehicle, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction in every interaction.

Expect a flexible schedule with possible evenings, weekends, and overtime. The role includes sign-on and attendance bonuses, paid training, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
• Must pass drug screen, MVR, background check and DOT exam.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Comfortable using GPS and mobile tech.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Read and follow roadside service procedures.
• Basic math and recordkeeping.
• Complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• If employed in Illinois, hold Illinois C-NonCDL license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services like tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing and installation, jump starts, lockouts, and minor adjustments.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures and guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent customer service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls and service requests.
• Document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and acceptable driving record.
• Achieve goals for member satisfaction, safety, productivity, and battery services.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
