Job summary

The Auto Club Group in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside assistance requests, perform tire changes and jump-starts, and safely tow vehicles when needed. You will verify memberships, document daily activities, and maintain a clean service vehicle while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Pass drug screen, background check, DOT physical; pre-employment and ongoing.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make field decisions.
• Comfort with GPS, tablets and mobile tech; able to lift 75 pounds.
• Able to read and follow roadside service procedures and member benefits.
• Must complete AAA training programs; safety and teamwork focused.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance calls for AAA members using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services: tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing/installation, jump starts, lockouts, minor mechanical adjustments.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures and towing guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle and proper documentation of activities.
• Manage calls digitally and update service requests; access towing procedures.
• Maintain DOT certification and acceptable driving record.
• Strive for member satisfaction, safety, productivity, and battery service goals.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
