Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Fort Myers, FL seeks a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and tow vehicles following procedures. The role blends hands-on problem solving, customer care, and safe driving on the road.

You'll complete DOT inspections, document activity, use tablets, and maintain a clean service vehicle while delivering top-notch member service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal infractions.
• Must pass drug screening, MVR review, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently in the field and make decisions.
• Comfortable using GPS, tablets, and mobile tech.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Read and follow roadside service procedures and member benefits.
• Must complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests with tow truck/service vehicle.
• Provide emergency services including tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing/installation, jump starts, lockout help, and minor repairs.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following established procedures.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent service on every interaction.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
