Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group in Naples, FL is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to handle roadside assistance, respond to service calls, and safely tow vehicles. You’ll work on the road, perform preventive checks, and deliver excellent member service with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime, with a starting hourly pay rate of $21.50 and eligibility for bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass drug screening, MVRO, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field.
• Comfort with GPS, mobile tech, tablets, and electronic apps.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• DOT certification and driving record maintenance required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests with a tow or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services (tire changes, fuel, battery testing/installation, jump starts, lockouts, minor repairs).
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures and guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls, update service requests, and access procedures.
• Document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and a valid driving record.
• Meet goals for member satisfaction, safety, and productivity.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
