Job summary

The Auto Club Group is hiring a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist stranded motorists, and tow vehicles as needed. You will work on the road with a focus on safety, customer service, and independent problem solving to support AAA members.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to pass screenings, and the ability to work a flexible, on‑duty schedule including evenings and weekends. Training is provided to develop vehicle handling and service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Must pass drug screening, MVR, background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make field decisions.
• Comfort with GPS, tablets, and mobile tech.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow roadside procedures and member benefits.
• Must complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance calls using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services (tire changes, fuel delivery, jump starts, etc.).
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent customer service.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls, requests, and towing procedures.
• Document daily activities, service calls, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and driving record.
• Meet targets for member satisfaction, safety, and productivity.
• Assist with community events as needed.
