Job summary

Accura Engineering in Nashville, TN seeks a CEI Inspector to perform construction engineering and inspection for roadway, bridge, and transportation projects. You will conduct field inspections, verify materials and workmanship, maintain project documentation, and support project engineers throughout the construction process.

Duties include inspecting roadways and bridges, reading plans, measuring quantities, preparing reports, and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 months to 3 years of progressive transportation technician or construction inspection experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting roadways, bridges, transportation, or heavy civil construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Knowledge of highway construction materials, methods, equipment, and inspection procedures.
• Must obtain required GDOT certifications and pass qualification tests within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent inspections of roadway and bridge construction activities.
• Inspect asphalt and concrete materials, pavement placement, compaction, alignment, depth, and quality.
