Job summary

CTL Engineering, Inc. is seeking Inspectors/Technicians to support NCDOT transportation projects with field and laboratory testing, reporting, and quality control.

The role involves working on roadway/bridge construction, earthwork, concrete and asphalt inspection, and collaboration with engineers and clients. Candidates should have 2+ years of inspection experience, familiarity with highway specs, and relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in construction inspection and testing on NCDOT projects.
• Familiarity with highway construction specifications and field experience.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utility construction engineering services.
• Field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, and steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection services for earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction for NCDOT and clients.
• Conduct field testing of roadway/bridge projects and report findings.
• Inspect and sample construction materials and report non-conforming work.
• Prepare project records and maintain documentation of tests and observations.
• Assist Engineers in field investigations and verify quantities as bid plans.
