Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks an experienced RN First Assistant to lead our Specialty Service in a Hospital or Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will support the surgical team intra-operatively and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to deliver high-quality care for our members.

Responsibilities include pre-, intra-, and post-operative activities, equipment planning, patient positioning, and adherence to AORN standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in specialty.
• One year as RNFA or completion of a CCI RNFA course with ASC agreement.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative assessment planning and coordinating equipment needs.
• Intra-operative technical assistance to surgeon and OR team.
• Post-operative care support, dressing and patient transfer as needed.
• Assist in staffing planning and quality improvement in surgical services.
