Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon seeks a highly qualified RN First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases. You will collaborate with surgeons and the healthcare team to provide advanced nursing care and participate in the regional on-call rotation for elective, emergent, and urgent cases.

Required are 2+ years peri-operative experience, RNFA credential per AORN standards, and active Oregon RN licensure. CNOR and ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience.
• RNFA certification/education per AORN standards.
• Oregon RN license and CNOR/RN licensure with continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon intra-operatively with instruments, hemostasis, and tissue handling per AORN standards.
• Prepare operating room in collaboration with Circulating Nurse and scrub person; assist anesthesia during induction.
• Post-operative duties include patient evaluation and adherence to facility protocols.
