Kaiser Permanente Northwest Region Ambulatory Surgery Centers seeks an RN First Assistant to support the surgical team during intra-operative care. You will assist the surgeon, prepare the OR, manage exposure, tissues and instruments, and help with draping, positioning and patient transfer.

You will also participate in pre- and post-operative activities, maintain sterile technique, communicate with staff and patients, and uphold AORN standards while adhering to Oregon licensure requirements.

Competenze

• Two years of intra-operative scrubbing and circulating experience.
• One year of RNFA experience or completion of a CCI-recognized RNFA course and ASC agreement.
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Nurse Operating Room Certificate.
• Meets all qualifications of an RNFA per AORN.

Mansioni

• Assist the surgeon and OR team intra-operatively with instruments, exposure, tissue handling, hemostasis and suturing.
• Coordinate with circulator on equipment and implant needs for each case.
• Assist with room setup, patient positioning, draping and transfer to the OR table.
• Contribute to pre/post-operative care, turnover and ensure sterile technique.
