Job summary

Castle Healthcare in Waldron, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to oversee nursing assistants and manage day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will ensure high-quality resident care and coordinate with the Director of Nursing as needed.

The role requires an RN license, CPR certification, and strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing assistants' functions and plan shift services.
• Complete and file admission, transfer and discharge records; transcribe orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain a warm, calm unit environment and report nursing activities to the team.
• Perform procedures such as catheterization, dressings, and ROM as required.
• Monitor safety and confidentiality of resident information.
• Provide IV care as needed.
• Attend rounds with physicians as necessary.
