Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required; provide leadership to nursing personnel.
• Complete and file required charts and reports; transcribe physician orders and document care.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and ensure privacy.
• Provide IV care and supervise safety regulations in equipment use.
