Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current unencumbered state license.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and related regulations for care facilities.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Long Term Care experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Meet with assigned staff to plan shift services and activities; report as required.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents and supervise unit staff.
• Complete and file charting and recordkeeping, transcribe orders, and maintain nursing notes.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain inter-departmental collaboration and provide a warm, calm unit environment.
• Receive/give nursing reports on shift start/end and perform physician rounds as needed.
• Provide IV therapy as needed and monitor safety with equipment.
