Job summary

MediLodge of Richmond is seeking a Unit Manager/Registered Nurse (RN) to direct the nursing unit within a long-term care facility. The role leads staff, manages meetings, and ensures high-quality resident care while aligning with budgetary targets.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with a nursing degree, has 3+ years of nursing experience including long-term care, and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills. CPR certification may be required.

Qualifications

• RN license (state requirements)
• Graduate of accredited nursing program (degree preferred)
• Three years of nursing experience, at least 1 year in long-term care
• CPR certification (when applicable)

Responsibilities

• Direct the operation of a nursing unit in a long-term care facility.
• Hire, discipline and evaluate staff; lead meetings and committees.
• Ensure staffing meets resident needs and budgetary controls.
• Promote recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Coordinate physician interactions and timely interventions.
• Monitor clinical operations and ensure quality care.
• Obtain medications, supplies and records for safe care.
• Orient and supervise new personnel.
