Job summary

Westminster Nursing and Rehab in Westminster, MD is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead resident care on the assigned unit and supervise nursing staff. You will ensure quality standards, coordinate staffing, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a current RN license in Maryland, at least 5 years in long-term care, and CPR certification. Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen are essential to support efficient operations

Qualifications

Must hold a valid RN license in Maryland.
Minimum 5 years of long-term care nursing experience.
CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

Ensure sufficient nursing staffing levels to deliver quality resident care
Monitor staff attendance and initiate disciplinary actions as needed
Assist in orientation and training of new employees and participate in their ongoing training
Develop and communicate shift assignments for nursing staff and monitor performance
Communicate with ancillary departments and nursing staff at shift changes about resident conditions
Evaluate staff performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure recognition for staff achievements
Perform other related activities as assigned or requested
