Qualifications

  • NYS RN license required.
  • Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience in geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff during assigned shifts (team leaders, nursing assistants, trainees).
  • Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated and followed.
  • Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes; communicate with providers and families.
  • Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services.
  • Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns; promote a positive care experience.
  • Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization.
  • Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control, resident rights and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents and operational issues.
  • Participate in QAPI initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Rate: $42/hour
Shift Differential: Additional 13.5 hours of pay!
Shift: Part-Time
Schedule: Saturday & Sundays | Overnights, 7 pm - 7:30 am

Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Ulster is looking to add an RN Supervisor Weekend Warriorto its nursing leadership team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services
  • Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience
  • Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed
  • Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
  • Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues
  • Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
