Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing at Hopewell in Hopewell Junction, NY is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during the 4 pm–12 am shift and ensure high-quality resident care.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and teamwork, with a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 and a salaried compensation range based on experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Valid NYS RN license required.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts.
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately.
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families.
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services.
• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience.
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed.
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
